Triumph belongs to thought

1-1. In each of us are places where we have never gone. Only by pressing the limits do we ever find them.-Dr. Joyce Brothers

#1-2. A good heart is better than all the heads in the world.-Edward Lytton

#1-3. Triumph belongs to thought. Change your thinking and you change your life.-J.P. Vaswani

_____It's a strange process, how we form a self-image, how sometimes events force us to transcend our perceived limits and help discover a newer "us". Of course, we might choose not to find all such limits.

As we grow into adults, a strong preference for logic, rationality and practicality is advisable. With age, hopefully accompanied by maturity, our wisdom should be tempered with care for other living beings. We tend to forget this in the heat of an argument.

From Richard Bach's writings:

#2-1 The best way to avoid responsibilities is to say, "I have got responsibilities."
#2-2 Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousand years.
#2-3 The simplest questions are the most profound. Where are you going? What are you doing? Think about these once in a while, and watch your answers change.
_____Some people I meet, within minutes, we are chatting away comfortably as though we have known each other for years. And it is not just people who have similar interests or agree with my views, they could be different but we just... connect. I guess there are shared values somewhere. I find it difficult to connect with people of a suspicious nature.
The so-called simplest questions could be difficult to answer! Even if it sets you thinking, it is useful.
